However, contrary to general belief, there is no scientific connection between oily or junk food and acne.
Although a number of creams and herbal products are available in the market to cure acne, it is better to seek medical help if the problem aggravates or continues recurring. Abstaining from pressing the acne or poking it with any sharp object is a must to avoid worsening of acne.
An increasing number of people are also opting for cosmetic treatments to remove acne scars and to regain a skin free of scars and blemishes. Surgical procedures and laser treatment are among the most effective methods of permanently getting rid of acne scars, but many other innovative cures are also available nowadays. You should talk to a reputed dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon who can assess your skin type and suggest a suitable therapy.
