Find Out How To Choose The Eye Glasses Frame That Is Perfect For Your Face
The trendiest kind of eye glasses frame is not necessarily the perfect frame for your face. What is more important to you, the latest fad or the eye glasses frame that makes your face look the best? To find the perfect fit in eye glasses frames you will need to understand the shape of your face and how the frames will fit your face. You do not have to have trendy designs to look great.
The first thing that you need to do is to find a shape that is almost the opposite of the shape of your face as a counterbalance. The frame also needs to be very similar to your face in size. A frame that is too large for a small face will overwhelm the delicate features. On the other side of the coin though, to feature certain aspects of your face, the larger eye glasses frame will bring attention to certain positive features of your face. For instance, if it is a square jaw that you want to emphasize, using a square frame will draw attention to the strength of this type of jaw.
There are basic shapes to faces and finding the frame that fits the basic shape of the face is half the battle. The most common shape is the oval face and it is easy to wear almost any kind of frame shape with this type of face. The choices are huge so the person with an oval shape to their face can just try on different frames and see which one makes them feel the best.
The round shaped face, however, does present some difficulties. It is best to try to minimize the rounding curves of the shape of the face. To accomplish this, a frame that is square will do a lot to minimize the round shape, especially if the frame is wider than it is high. This gives the illusion that the round face if wider and less round than it is in actuality.
The heart shaped face presents a challenge. This is the face that appears to be wider at the forehead and temples and then gets narrow at the chin area. To balance this kind of shape, the frame needs to be quite the opposite of the shape of the face with the heart shape inverted in the frame. The narrow part of the frame needs to be at the top and the wider at the bottom of the frame to act as an offset to the shape of the face. This may be difficult to locate so a good choice is a frame that is square at the bottom part with a rounded kind of top. It does not matter if it is rimless or partly rimless as both will be an enhancement to the shape of the face.
If you have a square kind of shape to your face where the cheeks, forehead, temples and the line of the jaw are all about the same width and the length is about the same. This kind of shape works best with rounded kinds of frames or oval shapes. The best choices will have the width greater than the height to balance out the square shape of the face.
The narrow shaped face which is just a longer face than it is wide, does present a challenge. The objective is to shorten the face some and the best frame would be a wider frame. It is important that it is not too wide for the face because this will not be attractive and it will put the lens in a place where the corrective part will not be positioned properly on the face. The frame that is semi-rimless also helps to break up the length of the face and gives the illusion of the face being more oval in shape.
These are some choices for finding the perfect eye glasses frame that will not only fit your face type but will make you more attractive. A proper fit on the frame will also mean the corrective lenses are in the optimal placement to help your vision.
